Owing to the different features and structures in the park, the Cubbon Park is a well-known tourist attraction. In the year 1927, the park was officially renamed as "Sri. Chamarajendra Park" to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Sri. As a mark of honor to Sri John Meade, the park was initially named as "Meade’s Park" and subsequently it was called the Cubbon Park. The statue of Queen Victoria adorns the park. The symmetrically shaped park is spread over an area of 334 acres. Cubbon Park is renowned for historical testaments, cultural institutions, and government buildings.

Sri Chamarajendra Park, also known as Cubbon Park, is Bengaluru's largest" park offering lush greenery, walking paths, and a serene escape in the city center. In 2000, the library was awarded the Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation Award for the best state central library in India in recognition of its outstanding contribution to meritorious services rendered in the spread of knowledge and gearing up of library movement in the city of Bengaluru in particular and in the state of Karnataka in general. The formal gardens, from the central hall of the original Attara Kacheri (means 18 government offices) now the Karnataka High Court, extends along the ceal promenade developed symmetrically with avenues, to the museum building. For those traveling by their own or a rented car, there is a large parking area near the entrance. A beautiful rose garden in the front side of the building makes it all the more alluring. There is an entry fee of Rs. 20 for adults and Rs.10 for Children to visit the museum. Built in  Graeco-Roman style of architecture, this red colored two-storeyed building is worth visiting for its imposing architecture and proximity to other important structures.

Another impressive artistic structure is Iyer Hall, which houses the Central Library with a rose garden as a frontage. Other attractions at the park are the Ringwood circle, lotus pond and bamboo grove nook. The nearest metro station to reach Cubbon Park is the Cubbon Park Metro Station, which is 15 meters away from one of the entrances to the park. The motorable roads which run through the park are allowed for light motor vehicles only. The predominantly green area of the park has many motorable roads, and the well-laid-out walking paths running through the park are frequented by early morning walkers and the naturalists who study plants in the tranquil natural environment. Chamarajendra Park, in memory of the 19th-century ruler of the state Sri Chamarajendra Wodeyar (1868–94), during whose rule the park came into existence.

NTR Gardens

The then acting commissioner of Bangalore, Sri John Meade established this park in 1870. The second largest aquarium in India is inside this park – The Bangalore Aquarium. Cubbon Park Museum, Attara Kacheri, and Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Park are other sites to see nearby this park. The place serves as an oxygen center with more than 6000 trees.
